You can choose between two clear routes:

1. Business-in-a-Box – Join MHW

This is the simplest way to get up and running. By joining our established brand MHW (www.mhwifa.co.uk), you can operate under a trusted brand with all the infrastructure ready to go.

You’ll benefit from:

  • Speedy authorisation with no standard FCA input required

This is ideal if you want to focus on advice and relationships, without the day-to-day pressure of running a regulated business solo. You’ll still build your own client base and shape your success, but with the strength of MHW behind you.

2. Join as Your Own Appointed Representative

If you want to trade under your own brand but still have the protection of a principal firm, you can become an Appointed Representative (AR).

This route gives you:

  • More independence over your brand, marketing, and operations
  • Faster access to the market without applying directly to the FCA
  • Regulatory permissions via the principal firm
  • Ongoing compliance oversight, support, and supervision
  • Collaborate support and planning on growing your own firm with Beyond

It’s a great option if you want to run your own firm, but don’t yet want the cost or complexity of full FCA authorisation. You’ll still need to meet the standards and processes of the principal firm, but you’ll have more autonomy over how you present yourself to clients.
